Dr Alhuraiji's research is focused on hematology and stem cell transplantation. He has participated in research studies such as devising an approach for management of cancer patients during COVID-19, the potential of use of additional chromosomal abnormalities as biomarkers for chronic myeloid leukemia during the use of tyrosine kinase inhibitors, and the significance of thrombocytopenia in patients with primary and post-essential thrombocythemia/polycythemia vera myelofibrosis.
